Richard Vermeulen, MD

Dr. Vermeulen is currently the owner and medical director of Marquette Rehabilitation, as well as the medical director of rehbilitative services at Tendercare and Mather Skilled Nursing Centers, and the medical director of the Northern Michigan University Athletic Trainer program. His day-to-day focus is the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal and nerve disease. Dr. Vermeulen's 20 years of experience share the common thread of diagnostic precision with increasingly focused available treatment options for musculoskeletal and neurologic disease. He is dedicated to the comprehensive care of pain patients.

Amanda Beerman, DNP, APRN-BC

Amanda Beerman is an experienced Nurse Practitioner, who has worked in Interventional Radiology for the past eight years. During that time, she performed procedures in numerous areas, including in the realm of pain intervention. She finds that assisting patients with both acute and chronic pain issues can be challenging, but also very rewarding when she helps to make a positive difference in their lives. Amanda enjoys helping patients in the clinical office setting during their comprehensive course of care, and prides herself on getting patients the multidisciplinary care they need. She has recently completed her clinical Doctorate of Nursing Practice at Oakland University, and looks forward to developing trusting relationships with her patients, allowing them to get the most out of their visit to the Interventional Pain Center.

Jessica Dushane, LPN

Jessica is an experienced nurse, which includes experience in pediatrics and geriatrics, giving her familiarity with all stages of life and patient care. Committed to continuing her education, she is also pursuing a Bachelor of Nursing degree to attain certification as a Registered Nurse. At the Pain Center, Jessica welcomes patients and sends them off with a smile. She focuses on total care, strives to find the best course of care, and acts as the patient advocate. She is available to answer patient questions and offer support, in cooperation with our physicians.
